The original pattern calls for red hearts. I chose Raspberry, Country Rose, and Pale Raspberry for the hearts. One column has Country Rose hearts, another column has Raspberry hearts, and the center column has mixture of all three colors for the hearts. The main color was crocheted with Aran color.
Afghan measures approximately 40 inches wide and 54 inches long, makes a perfect couch afghan.
